Many thanks to John Hucik, Ron Roberts & James Rudolph who used heavy equipment, muscle and brains to remove the footing that was in the way of our boat ramp. Footing now has a new home as a part of Ron's bulkhead.

Well, actually it was a great community potluck dessert party start for the 4th festivities. Fireworks came later!
July 4th: It's time for our annual dessert potluck @ our beach picnic area while we watch the fireworks from Camano and Oak Harbor. Oak Harbor is celebrating their Centennial with a "4th OH July" party and plans the biggest fireworks display they've ever had. Enjoy a great time with your neighbors and bring a dessert to share if you'd like. Fireworks: As adopted by our community at the annual meeting a few years ago, only legal fireworks are allowed in the common areas. That being said, it is very apparent that the Shangri-La Shores area is unusually dry right now. It would be unwise to set off fireworks in any of the common areas where there is a risk of an errant firework landing anywhere except in the water. Please be safe, respect our community property, and respect your neighbors. Please note that Island County has a total outdoor burn ban in effect. Read more about that below: |
